To those of you looking to catch up or get ahead on credits this summer, Primavera Online School is the place to be! If you’ve never taken an online summer school course before, we’re sure you have lots of questions. That’s why we’ve gathered the six most commonly asked questions and answered them all right here in this post! Check them out below.

1. How much will an online summer school course cost me?

We often hear this question, and the answer is two great words: tuition free! Because Primavera is a year-round public charter school, we offer all our courses (even summer) completely tuition free.

2. What will my class look like?

At Primavera, you can say goodbye to spending long days stuck in a stuffy classroom all summer long. Instead, enjoy the comfort of your home or get some fresh air at a coffee shop! As long as you have a laptop and an internet connection, you can study wherever you want.

Plus, our courses are designed specifically for you! Instead of having to read an outdated, boring textbook, we keep you engaged through our 100% online, award-winning curriculum with practice workbooks, videos, animated lessons and much more to help you get excited about learning!

3. How do I communicate with my teachers?

Primavera has highly-qualified, state-certified instructors who are dedicated to helping our students get their diplomas. You will be able to contact your teachers via email, phone calls and chat messages within our Parent Student Portal (PSP). In many cases, our students report that they communicate with their teachers more here than in a traditional school setting.

For more information on how to contact your teachers at Primavera, check out our previous blog post.

4. I’m working a summer job; can Primavera work with my schedule?

Absolutely! In fact, we’re probably your best option for summer school! While there will be about 25 hours per week, per course you’re expected to complete, you are free to work on your courses on your schedule.

That’s the beauty of a 100% online school!  peyton_emoji_2-02

5. Will I still get to interact with classmates?

Of course! At Primavera, there are several opportunities to connect with your classmates. With online class discussions and school events, you can make friends fast at Primavera.

6. How long do online summer school courses last?

Primavera’s tuition-free summer school is just four weeks long! That means you’ll be able to knock out a course and still have time to enjoy your summer.

Summer 2022 is almost here!

I see that the 4 week class starts on June 1st. We will be on vacation the last week in May. We planned it that way so our kids could attend summer school believing it would start on June 6th as that is the start day for high schools. Will there be another 4 week session during the summer or can students enroll for June 1st and get caught up on the 3 days that they miss? Also, we are at a point where we won’t know if they will pass the class or not. Finals are not until May 22nd and enrollment starts before that date. Will I be able to enroll my kids and pull out if they end up passing the class?

    • Hi, Liz. Yes, you can pull from the course if it turns out your student doesn’t need summer school, that way, you’re enrolled by the deadline (May 20) if you need it! As for missing the first three days, it would be best to talk to an enrollment advisor at 480.456.6678 so they can give you a more specific answer. Best of luck!

We registered on the 22nd, not knowing that the deadline had passed. Are we still eligible for enrollment? If we still want to register our student for classes over the summer and we are no longer eligible for the classes starting on June 1st, what other options do we have?
