AVERAGE TEACHER SALARY (A.R.S §15-189.05), as added by Laws 2018, Ch.285 §3
- Average salary of all teachers employed in budget year 2024 – $58,744
- Average salary of all teachers employed in prior year 2023 – $53,153
- Increase in average teacher salary from the prior year 2023 – $5,591
- Percentage increase – 10.5%
*The above salary information excludes Pay for Performance funding and teachers are also, based upon performance eligible for the following in Pay for Performance funding:
- Elementary and Middle School Teachers: $7,500 per teacher
- High School Teachers: $10,000 – $13,000 per teacher (depending on role)
- Special Education Teacher: $13,000
